Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician with strong knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical components of production equipment and systems. The chosen candidate will be responsible for performing tasks in a safe manner to ensure the achievement of performance, quality, service, and cost objectives. They will be required to comply with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and requirements as directed by standard manufacturing policies established by the company.
Hard Skills
Experience in industrial maintenance
Equipment and facilities maintenance
480V, 3-phase motor experience
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC equipment
Maintenance of ammonia refrigeration equipment
Maintaining plant lubrication program
Maintenance of compressed air, steam, condensate, chemical transfer, water, glycol, chilled water, tower water, hot water, sanitary waste, natural gas, printing/coding, HVAC and other support systems
Experience with high and low voltage electrical
Maintenance of proper inventory levels of all manufacturing supplies
Minor plumbing, building repair and maintenance
Reading/interpreting equipment manuals, blueprints, and other sources of information
Prioritization of assignments and time management
Understanding of productivity, quality, and safety
Generation of corrective action requests and documentation of change requests
Maintaining equipment and area cleanliness to ensure compliance with GMP standards
Soft Skills
Independent management of time
Ability to prioritize assignments
Understanding of safety and quality controls
Able to work effectively with quality, sanitation, warehouse, and operations personnel
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Auburn, New York.
Work Environment
The Maintenance Technician will work in a manufacturing environment and will be expected to maintain a safe and clean working area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The role requires a high degree of collaboration with quality, sanitation, warehouse, and operations personnel.
