Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Application Developer to join our software engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in both front-end and back-end development, including responsive web applications, APIs, and microservices. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions that meet the needs of Globus Medical.

Essential Functions :

• Participate in the full lifecycle development of software, including analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation, deployment, and support.

• Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications.

• Create and maintain web services and APIs that allow communication between different parts of an application.

• Employ best practices for designing scalable, extensible, and secure applications.

• Supports existing software applications through understanding, designing, and implementing enhancements and changes to production applications.

• Identifies and corrects software defects through unit, integration, system, and customer acceptance testing.

• Perform code reviews with others as needed.

• Serve as the lead developer/team lead where appropriate.

• Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.

• Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications :

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.

• 3+ years of experience in full stack development desired

• Proficiency in Angular and AngularJS for building interactive web applications with dynamic content and seamless user experience.

• Familiarity with Ionic framework for developing cross-platform mobile applications.

• Proficiency in NoSQL databases, such as Firestore for real-time data management.

• Utilization of Google Cloud Platform for hosting applications, Cloud Functions for serverless computing, and Big Query for high-performance and scalable data analytics.

• Experience in Java Spring Boot for creating RESTful APIs and microservices to support front-end applications.

• Proficiency in working with Oracle database, including database design, querying, and optimization. Skills in PL/SQL preferred.

• Ability to collaborate with designers, other developers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement efficient solutions for both front-end and back-end components.

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in full-stack development to enhance skills and contribute to the success of projects.

• Familiarity with caching mechanisms such as Redis would be beneficial.

• Experience working as a part of a remote team.

• Expertise working with web services as part of product development and delivery.

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills and ability to work as a member of a team.

• A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
