National Youth Advocate Program Foster Care Intern in Augusta, Georgia

Foster Care Intern

In this intern role, we are looking for a student that is currently in school working towards their degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other types of Human services degrees. In this internship, the intern will be t raining on the licensing and opening of new foster homes, as well as working with foster parents and youth here at NYAP.

Responsibilities

  • Internship responsibilities vary and are based on the agreement between the educational institution and NYAP

  • Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values, and philosophies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment in an accredited educational program. Specifically Social Services or other Human Services degrees.

  • Specific qualifications will be based on internship details.

  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
