A day in the life of a Production Coordinator

As a Production Coordinator you will have the unique opportunity to support two functions in your assigned division: Permitting and Warranty. You will start your day by 9am and your divisional office will be your home base. This is where most of your day-to-day work and meetings will take place. On the permitting side, your job requires you to submit, track and receive building permits required to meet division business plan objectives. You will also be responsible for the submission of land development demolition and construction trailer permits. Overall, you will work closely with the local municipalities, even visiting county buildings to secure or track permits. On the warranty side, you will maintain warranty and homeowner records, files and architectural modifications as you work with homeowners directly to track and schedule their home status. Contacting homeowners to schedule and confirm appointments will be part of your daily routine so being comfortable on the phone and interacting in a customer-oriented manner benefits you. You may need to shift priorities quickly to accommodate the needs of your team, but you find this type of fast-paced work exciting and motivating, so at the end of each day you’re ready to tackle the next.
