This is a full time position located in Augusta, Maine and allows for partial telework with management approval.

Core Responsibilities:

As the Behavioral Health Program Coordinator in the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH), you will work with a multitude of internal and external partners responsible for quality management and monitoring programs and activities across the Prevention, Intervention, Treatment, Recovery and Resource Development teams. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordination and oversight of contracts, data and quality improvement/management operations both at OBH and among community provider agencies related to Private Non-Medical Institutes (residential programs). Field work will include compliance monitoring, fidelity reviews, provider readiness, training and technical assistance, implementation of evidence based best practices, and all other duties as assigned. Statewide travel is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in one of the Social Sciences and four (4) years’ experience in professional community behavioral health work. A Master’s Degree in Social Work may be substituted for two (2) years’ experience.

In order to properly evaluate your experience, you must respond to the following competencies:

  1. Knowledge of mental health, substance use programs and systems.

  2. A demonstrated ability to develop and implement methods to monitor and evaluate effectiveness of mental health-related programs.

  3. A demonstrated ability to provide technical assistance visits to mental health community programs to review for contractual and program compliance issues and changes, for contractual compliance.
