Job Description:

The Role: Interventional Radiology RN

This is a diverse role working in a state-of-the-art facility with highly experienced teams, and a unique opportunity to work in specialty areas including Radiology and the Cardiac Cath-Lab.

Position Highlights:

  • Per Diem

  • NO weekends, NO call, and NO major holidays

The Work:

  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

  • Evaluate the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

  • Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

You Have:

  • Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required

  • At least 2 years of RN experience, preferred

  • ED, CCU, or Cath Lab, strongly preferred

  • Prior experience with conscious sedation, helpful

  • ACLS preferred upon hire

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Proven and demonstrated autonomous critical thinking skills
