Job Description

We are seeking a Network Analyst to monitor network, system, and application performance as well as perform proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of enterprise systems. This position will be full-time and remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of enterprise systems

  • Monitor network, system and application performance, availability and capacity

  • Respond to alerts and escalate issues identified through monitoring tools and tickets

  • Provide direct support for system issues, outages, slowdowns and interruptions

  • Answer overflow calls during first shift and take second and third shift phone calls and tickets for the IT Service Desk

  • Use software, such as Remedy or ServiceNow to report, track and resolve issues

  • Escalate alerts and system issues to PM Engineers, Application Engineers and Systems Engineers as needed

  • Thoroughly and comprehensively document procedures

What You'll Need

Required:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related subject; or equivalent real-world experience

  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration

  • Familiarity with SolarWinds Orion or equivalent monitoring platforms

  • Familiarity with Cisco, CheckPoint and other enterprise network and firewall platforms

  • Familiarity with networking devices, protocols (TCP/IP) and corresponding access-related problems (preferred)

  • Familiarity with performance and availability monitoring software

  • Familiarity with ticketing/request management software, such as Remedy or ServiceNow

  • Excellent written and oral communication

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitors
