Justice Initiatives Project Manager - Augusta, ME

Position Duties:

This position will serve as the project manager and is responsible for ushering the Office of MaineCare Services through the 1115 re-entry waiver and Consolidated Appropriation – Juvenile Justice initiative development and implementation. This will require coordination across the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the Department of Corrections, and County Jails, as well as community stakeholders. This position will report to the MaineCare Medical Director.

As the project manager you will: provide leadership and management ensuring regular collaboration and communication across DHHS offices; oversee vendors through procurement and contract management; plan, direct, and coordinate work of all necessary personnel across offices, advisory groups, and vendors to complete the 1115 waiver application; establish workplans, timelines, project milestones, and identify the staff/organizations responsible for each activity; write and present updates and reports on project activities to various audiences; and deliver or co-deliver presentations to external stakeholders and committees regarding implementation activities and accomplishments.

Knowledge Requirements:

To qualify, you must have an eight (8) year combination of education and/or experience comprised of healthcare, social service or health plan administration; justice system, health planning; policy or program design and implementation; healthcare or justice system related-related program operations or project management. Professional and/or clinical degrees in law, criminal justice, behavioral health (psychology, social work), human services, public administration, healthcare administration, public health or other comparable field is highly preferred.

The background of well-qualified candidates will demonstrate the following competencies:

1. Broad knowledge of justice systems.

2. Experience utilizing trauma informed practices to engage justice involved populations.

3. Experience working within health care delivery systems, and/or population health.

4. Ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret data to inform decision-making.

5. Experience managing programs related to public health including development and implementation of workplans, quality assurance processes, and communication strategies.

6. Knowledge of implementation science.

7. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse project partners, consumers, and providers of health and behavioral health care.

8. Ability to gather, synthesize, and summarize a variety of information from many sources.

9. Excellent written and oral professional communication skills.

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
