What You Will Do

The Quality Review Associate (QRA) candidate will complete tasks within the Quality Review (QR)

process. This position will require a great attitude, willingness to learn and established social skills, as the

candidate will be interfacing with many internal customers and suppliers each day. The candidate will be

responsible for the smooth and deliberate operation of the QR process in their responsible business

unit(s). This QRA positions is a training opportunity to develop into a highly regarded and skilled Quality

Material Review Board Member, informally known as a Quality Review Coordinator (QRC). The candidate

will focus on developing skill set, experience, and focus to completely and accurately disposition Quality

Notifications (QNs). The candidate will earn progressing responsibilities during their time as a QRA, with

the goal of earning full QMRB certification. Upon successful completion of training and earning full QMRB

certification, the candidate will progress into the QRC position.

Typical duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Review, investigate and make dispositions of parts or materials placed on Quality Review

due to deviations from engineering specifications.

Review and interpret applicable engineering detail and assembly drawings, engine

manuals, clearance charts, engineering changes, and specifications to determine the

severity of the material deviations.

Make dispositions of parts and materials based on evaluation of technical requirements

and end use.

Evaluation of Quality Notifications and related documentation for accuracy and

completeness from both internal and external sources. Provide controls for storage and

control of nonconforming material.

As required, develop, and write rework & repair techniques that return parts to an

acceptable condition.

• Plan, organize, schedule, and communicate daily organizational activities

• This is a 2nd shift (5 x8)

Qualifications You Must Have

High School or GED

3+ years of experience working with quality methods and procedures in manufacturing or a completed

degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field with 2+years related

experience.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this

program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

Advanced shop mathematics for trigonometric and geometric computation.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Excellent computer skills

Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, to include overtime

Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously

Experience interfacing with internal systems such as SAP, Solumina, Documentum, DocAccess

What is my role type?

In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. We’ve introduced role types to help you understand how you will operate in our blended work environment. This role is:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.  The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey.  Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return-to-work experience.  Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions participants will be eligible for a career at RTX.
