MaineGeneral Health Total Joint Arthroplasty Orthopedic Surgeon in Augusta, Maine

Job Summary:As a Physician in an affiliated medical practice, provides medical services to patients in an assigned area.

Job Description:

We are recruiting a well-trained, BC/BE orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in Total Joint Arthroplasty including revision surgery to join our multi-specialty orthopaedic practice. Maine General currently has four orthopaedic surgeons performing total joint replacements and two of them are planning to retire over the next year or so. A successful candidate will inherit a busy referral base for both primary and revision total joint surgery

The Maine General Orthopaedic Department is a hospital-employed, 10 surgeon group with fellowship training in sports medicine, hand surgery, joint replacement, spine surgery, foot and ankle surgery, orthopaedic trauma and also has a podiatry division. Additionally there is a non-operative sports medicine fellowship consisting of five fellowship trained non-operative sports medicine physicians and two fellows annually. There is a great opportunity for teaching and education with the fellows and the family practice residents. The selected candidate will join the call pool with 10 other surgeons allowing for a great work-life balance! Income base is guaranteed with a productivity bonus.
