The Program Director is responsible for the overall management of the programmatic, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of care and services of the assigned program; provision of regular and timely reports to all stakeholders regarding operations, services, and finances; establishing a respectful and supportive workplace environment; and elevating any issues or concerns to management and applicable stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Director will perform administrative duties including, but not limited to:
Responsible for the overall management of the programmatic, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of care, services, and foster placement for minors for the assigned program.
Lead and manage the on-site team responsible for all aspects of the programmatic care and services for minors in care.
Maintain and report on productivity standards on a monthly basis.
Work collaboratively with other NYAP programs and staff throughout the organization.
Sign off on all required reports as well as submitting the reports for processing according to agency policy.
Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through personal visits, phone calls, and written communication to assure policy requirements are met.
Responsible for program operations including processes and procedures to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
Responsible for programmatic and compliance outcomes of the assigned program.
Perform all duties in accordance with personnel policies and the program’s guidelines.
Perform other duties as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in social work or equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degree preferred, or bachelor’s degree plus 5 years' experience in child welfare administration, child protective services.
Two (2) years of experience in program management or as director of a licensed childcare program required.
Able to possess the administrator’s license for the care provider’s facility, if applicable
A valid advanced professional license as required and acceptable by state or contract regulations.
Bilingual English/Spanish Fluency
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
OTHER SKILLS
Some travel is required. Driving personal vehicle in the performance of this job is required. Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle in good working order, and insurance with $100,000/$300,000 limits.
Must be open and willing to work non-traditional work hours as well as on-call responsibilities.
Provide excellent internal and external customer service.
Must possess good verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
Must possess proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite and any applicable applications.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
Ability to travel frequently and drive vehicle while sitting for extended periods, with frequency varying based on program demands.
