This role in summary

Essential Functions of the Forklift Driver role:

• Ability to obtain a fork truck license (Must have valid state-issued Driver’s License)

• Load and unload trailers in accordance with Whirlpool’s package handling practices

• Move product to designated locations accurately for inventory compliance

• Stack goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions

• Check that all loads are secure; assess weights and judge distance and height

• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

• Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner

• Coordinate with other departments as needed

• Perform daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck’s battery and lubricating equipment

• Complete daily 5S assignments

• Ability to work OT hours as needed to support production requirements

• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required of the Forklift Driver role:

• Sortation system troubleshooting protocols

• Knowledge of Logics Inventory Management System

• Proper package handling techniques and procedures

• General fork truck maintenance

• Eye-Foot-Hand coordination

• Ability to self-manage workflow

• Ability to lift 40 lbs unassisted

• Ability to get on and off PIT regularly
