Volt is immediately hiring Systems Integration & Test Engineer in Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever SFB).

As Systems Integration & Test Engineer you will:

As Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) you will integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

The Systems Integration and Test Engineer plans and performs assignments involving definition of plans and procedures relative to complex software and hardware subsystems and resolves identified conflicting issues. Participates in a complex program which includes establishing methods and techniques, planning and writing integration procedures/sequences and reports, and conducting tests utilizing comprehensive knowledge of these complex subsystems. Utilizes a broad know ledge of precedents in integration engineering and applies understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity. What You Will Do:

This role includes but is not limited to:

Develop and execute integration plans and sequences

Identify technical issues during integration

Collaborate with fellow engineers to determine root cause and drive toward closure

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis, which includes preparing and presenting technical briefs

Work in an Agile program environment

Work in a classified lab on site in Colorado Springs, Colorado

This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to Hire opportunity.

This position requires Active Secret Clearance.

The Ideal candidate will have:

Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant systems integration and test experience or 5 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in (STEM)

Experience working on Global Positioning System (GPS)

Hands-on integration experience

Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems

Experience with systems engineering principles and activities

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment

Experience with ground station and satellite domains (such as terrestrial data networking, command and telemetry, launch operations, flight dynamics, mission planning, on-orbit operations)

Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)

Experience with Java, C++, or Python

Experience with Linux operating system

Pay Range: $85.00 - $95.00 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
