Location: Rotating as needed to: Anschutz Inpatient Oncology, University of Colorado Hospital; Anschutz Cancer Pavilion, University of Colorado Hospital; Highlands Ranch Hospital Cancer Center; Lonetree Medical Oncology; Cherry Creek Medical Oncology
Department: Inpatient Pharmacy
FTE: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Rotating Schedule: The schedule will rotate in approximately two week blocks. Two weeks will be evening shift coverage on the inpatient unit, followed by approximately 2 weeks of float coverage, likely day shifts based on the needs of the units. Weekend rotation participation will also be required, ensuring comprehensive patient care coverage.
Pay: $50.76 - $76.14 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Minimum Requirements:
+ + Bachelor's Degree or higher degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.
Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Pharmacist and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
PGY2 residency in Oncology, OR PGY1 residency + 1 years of Oncology Clinical experience, OR no residency and 3 years of Oncology Clinical experience preferred
Prior inpatient experience is preferred
Board certification in area of expertise within 1 year of employment preferred.

Clinical Oncology Pharmacist:
Float Between Inpatient and Outpatient Settings: You will be providing coverage on the inpatient oncology/bone marrow transplant unit and in our outpatient oncology infusion areas. This diverse exposure allows you to gain experience with a wide range of oncology patients and treatment modalities.
Robust Clinical Practice: Establish a strong clinical pharmacy practice focused on patient-centered care. This includes:
- Medication Management: Comprehensive medication reviews, order verification, and patient counseling.
Therapy Optimization: Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize drug therapy plans, ensuring efficacy and safety.
Specialized Oncology Expertise: Develop proficiency in intravenous and oral anti-cancer therapies for both solid and hematologic malignancies.
Operational Excellence: Contribute to the efficient operation of pharmacy services within the oncology areas, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and quality improvement initiatives.
