Job Overview

Under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and following established policies and procedures, performs a variety of technical procedures to support hospital inpatient or outpatient pharmacy operations. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, team-oriented person to join our Pharmacy Team here at Children's Hospital Colorado. As part of our long-term commitment to providing pediatric care to the Aurora community, Children's Colorado now has services at our new facility: Children's Colorado Health Pavilion on North Potomac Circle. The renovated 110,000+ square-foot location includes specialty clinics, outpatient behavioral health services, pharmacy and laboratory services, dental and orthodontics, eye care and optical shop, KidStreet rehabilitation services, orthopedics and sports medicine. Additional Information

Department: Health Pavilion Retail Specialty Pharmacy Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 4:30p. No weekend/holiday commitments. This position starts at $20.50/hour.

Qualifications

EDUCATION - High School Diploma or Equivalent EXPERIENCE -One (1) year of pharmacy technician experience EQUIVALENCY- Completion of pharmacy technician program may substitute for the one (1) year of the experience requirement CERTIFICATION(S) - * State of Colorado Pharmacy Technician (PHAT) Certification * Certificate through a nationally recognized certification board or body approved by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) such as the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcare Association (NHA)

These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. Prepares preparing unit-dose nonhazardous and hazardous medications and drug supplies for dispensing as directed by a licensed pharmacist.
