QA Supervisor (2 nd OR 3 rd Shift) - Aurora, CO

Shift: M-F 2 nd (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) OR 3 rd (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000

Sign-on Bonus: $2,500

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a QA Supervisor to oversee daily production floor activities related to quality assurance. The successful candidate will coordinate quality-related activities and provide leadership to maintain an effective food safety and quality management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily activities of QA Technicians to ensure completion of all QA tasks.

  • Provide guidance on quality and food safety issues to operations and QA teams.

  • Coach, train, and support the QA team to facilitate business growth.

  • Communicate daily with FSQA Technicians regarding production schedules and QA issues.

  • Train FSQA Technicians and conduct new employee orientations.

  • Maintain inventory of QC/lab supplies and coordinate training on new equipment.

  • Assist the QA Manager with disciplinary actions as necessary.

  • Review and organize operational paperwork daily.

  • Support the execution of internal and third-party audits (e.g., customer, regulatory, GFSI) and participate in inspections; analyze results and address deficiencies.

  • Collaborate with production managers, supervisors, and leads during formula changes and product issues.

  • Assist with the company’s hold, trace, and recall program, including summarizing hold reports.

  • Participate in familiarizing employees with plant operations as part of company safety programs.

  • Assume some responsibilities of the QA Manager in their absence, serving as backup as needed.

  • Perform tasks in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), policies, and procedures.

  • Support operations and other teams in reducing foreign object contamination.

  • Oversee product releases and perform daily product and customer complaint reviews.

  • Display a strong work ethic and positive influence in workplace settings.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment.

  • Previous experience working in a food production Quality Assurance department.

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.

  • Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends as necessary.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Adherence to production dress code standards and good personal hygiene.

  • Active participation on the production floor.

  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.

  • Capability to stoop, kneel, or bend.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds; assistance required for heavier weights.

  • Ability to push/pull up to 45 pounds; assistance required for heavier weights.
