Job Overview

The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator is a seasoned Coordinator who can work across multiple complex modalities and is responsible for participating in the day-to-day operations of complex, multi-site clinical research programs and/or studies conducted by Principal Investigators (PIs) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Performs a variety of administrative and operational duties involved in the collection, compilation, documentation, and review of clinical research data. Facilitates the accomplishment of research programs and/or study goals. Works independently and leads others in navigating the clinical research environment and participates in a variety of departmental and/or divisional initiatives. Provides oversight to Clinical Research Coordinators and other related team members. Works under minimal supervision. The Cystic Fibrosis team within the Breathing Institute at Children's Hospital Colorado led by Dr. Scott Sagel and Dr. Edith Zemanick currently has an opening for a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator to join their team! This exciting opportunity will focus on recruiting pediatric study participants with CF and coordinate and conduct clinical research visits for children with CF for industry sponsored clinical trials.

Tasks for this position include telephone recruitment calls, conducting the informed consent discussion, following human subjects research protocols, coordinating, and conducting in-person clinical assessments with breathing tests and biosample collection, processing biosamples in a laboratory setting, data entry and data quality monitoring, and active participation in team meetings regarding study implementation and process improvement.

Additional Information

Department: Pulmonary Medicine Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Work hours may vary due to department needs. *Upon successful completion of department on-boarding/training and job performance this position may have the ability to work from home as well as flexi g lighter Fridays.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical, clinical support, and or clinical research related experience is required. Equivalency: Associate degree in a related field with (5) five years of clinical related experience may be considered in lieu of minimum education requirement.
