Job Overview

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a transformational, innovative, and operationally savvy Senior Vice President/Chief Nursing Executive (SVP/CNE) responsible for strategically organizing, planning, directing and evaluating all nursing functions and other patient care areas (e.g., social services, emergency medicine, pharmacy, rehabilitation and respiratory care services) throughout CHCO. This position recommends and implements policies and procedures to improve efficiency and delivery of qualit The Chief Nursing Executive encourages innovative and transformational leadership at the department level empowering nurses' decision-making control over nurse practice and establishes interdisciplinary teams throughout the organization, supporting nursing care and patient care services. The CNE will be responsible for advancing all nursing functions, including developing a collaborative team that possesses balanced capabilities; holding the team members accountable, both individually and as a group; and creating a motivating team environment. This executive will collaborate with other members of the executive leadership team to build programs and initiatives to help advance the success of CHCO and will have a close working relationship with the president and chief executive officer (CEO), Jena Hausman

Compensation & Benefits Minimum Salary: $395,520 The salary for the position varies based on the candidate's qualifications.

If organizational goals are met for the year, the bonus is paid out the following April. Children's Colorado delivers annual base pay increases to eligible team members based on their performance over the previous year.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in public health, hospital or business administration, or related field Equivalency: Bachelor's degree plus two years of leadership experience in lieu of Master's degree. Minimum of 10 years of nursing leadership experience Preferred: 5 years of experience in executive leadership Preferred: Extensive senior management experience in large, complex hospital systems, academic medicine, university and patient-centric environment Registered Nurse and an ANCC recognized certification. Nurse Executive or Nurse Executive Advanced required within 12 months of hire. Active member in a nursing or professional healthcare organization.
