Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Aurora, Illinois

Description We are in search of a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. This role is essential in supporting the Human Resources department with a variety of administrative and operational tasks. As an HR Assistant, you will contribute to maintaining efficient HR processes, assist employees, and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of orientation materials, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring completion of all required documentation.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files, ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.

• Update HR databases, such as employee data, sick leave, or maternity leave.

• Assist employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries, coordinate with benefits providers, and manage benefits-related documentation and reporting.

• Provide assistance in the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of payroll data, and address payroll-related inquiries from employees.

• Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related queries and support HR initiatives and employee engagement activities.

• Assist in conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.

• Use HR Management Systems and Timekeeping Systems effectively for various HR functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Human Resources Management System (HRMS)

• Experience in Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Knowledge of HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems

• Familiarity with HR Payroll System

• Understanding of Timekeeping System

• Expertise in Benefit Functions

• Experience in Compensation Administration

• Knowledge of Compliance procedures in HR

• Ability to handle Employee Relations effectively

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
