We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to drive the development of RF protocol stack firmware for our wireless communication products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing embedded firmware solutions that enable seamless communication across diverse RF protocols. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance firmware that meets the stringent requirements of our customers.
Job Duties
Lead the design and development of embedded firmware for RF protocol stack implementation, including protocol layers such as PHY, MAC, and network.
Architect and implement RF protocol stack firmware for wireless communication systems, ensuring compatibility with industry-standard protocols (e.g., Bluetooth Low Energy, Zigbee, Thread).
Optimize firmware performance for low-power operation, resource-constrained environments, and real-time communication requirements.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specifications for RF communication modules, ensuring seamless integration of firmware with hardware components.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of firmware functionality, performance, and interoperability with third-party devices and systems.
Drive innovation in RF protocol stack design through research, experimentation, and evaluation of emerging technologies and industry standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
You Must Have
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, with a focus on RF communication systems and protocol stack implementation.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C and assembly language for embedded systems, with experience in low-level firmware development for microcontrollers.
Deep understanding of RF communication principles, modulation schemes, signal processing techniques, and wireless protocol standards.
Experience with RF testing equipment and methodologies for performance evaluation and debugging of wireless communication systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex firmware issues and optimize performance for efficiency and reliability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
