Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to the electrical engineering team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Support NPI/IB/ATD programs/ projects, with the appropriate resources, skill sets, and assistance in problem solving.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, system/ hardware/ software teams, supply chain, and manufacturing, to ensure optimal product performance and seamless integration.

  • Develop and implement best practices and processes to enhance team productivity, and efficiency.

  • Recruit talents, mentor and develop the electrical engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.

  • Support technical reviews, design evaluations, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in the development of product roadmaps, identifying opportunities for innovation and driving the adoption of emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field)

  • Minimum of 5 years of RF experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of medical device product development experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of project leadership experience

  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., IEC, FDA, ISO)

  • Proven leadership experience in leading and mentoring technical teams

  • Demonstrated people management skills ​

Desired Characteristics

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering

  • 7 years relevant RF experience

  • Design experience in Phased arrays, Tx/ Rc coils for MRI

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally

  • Demonstrated supplier and manufacturing interface skills

  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others

  • Excellent communication, influencing skills, and ability to gain buy-in

  • Proven LEAN skills

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while supporting multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing, and quality of outcomes
