JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary: The Trainer in partnership with the Department Lead and Supervisor will participate in the overall administration and follow-up of training within the distribution center.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Trainers will provide the following support for new hires within the facility: On the job training: Trainers will spend two weeks with each new hire conducting on the job training for all ADI required training Facility and department tour: Trainers will take all new hires on a tour of the facility to point out key areas and then dept specific work areas High-level safety overview - Trainers will cover all safety policies and procedures. 30-day check-in: Trainers will be with the new hires after 30 days on the job to check in and cover any outstanding questions. Trainers will provide all associates with updates on policies and procedures Trainers will collaborate with DC manager on areas that need to be focused on in the new hire training classes to ensure we are providing new hires the most relevant information possible Trainers will complete formal observations with associates that have been identified due to quality or performance and provide their findings to area management Trainers will conduct random knowledge checks in each department and track results. Trainers will support ongoing annual trainings for all associates. Trainers must communicate with business units to create awareness of training opportunities. Trainers must support the supervisor, manager, and/or director on special projects or reports as needed. Trainers must be able to cross-train and learn all departments Key Performance Elements: The Associate must demonstrate the willingness and ability to: Provide training and constructive feedback effectively and professionally. Accurately provide and follow directions, both written and verbal. Remain professional, fair, and consistent in interacting with the ADI team. Actively support team concepts and effectively communicate with team members at all levels. Qualifications High School Diploma 3 years' experience in a Lead or Trainer role Distribution background Powered equipment experience Intermediate knowledge of Warehouse Management System and MS Office Essential Physical Requirements: Continuous/frequent walking or standing for long periods of time. Continuous/frequent pushing or pulling heavy carts - up to 50lbs. SAFETY: Effectively partner and lead site and regional leaders in safety initiatives, holding leaders accountable for maintaining established standards, also providing influence and guidance on all matters related to health, safety, and environmental issues Assist HSE training, programs, and processes in partnership with site and regional leaders Train new associates in the organization's safe operating procedures and HSE standards Responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance, HSE inspections, and required HSE reports Monitor environment to ensure that work areas, tools and equipment meet HSE requirements Ensure associates operate powered industrial equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures and FEI Safety Policies Perform other duties or functions as requested by management WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: Medical, Dental, Vision, Commuter Benefit, Pet Insurance and 401k participation from Day 1 2 weeks' accrued vacation time in years 1 and 2, and 3 weeks starting in year 3 12 paid holidays each year Four weeks parental leave without using vacation time Employee discounts on company products and other retail/service providers
