AUDIT MANAGEMENT AND OVERSIGHTLeads and coordinates audits related to sponsored projects, including the federal Single Audit, Cancer Prevention Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) annual audit, and various sponsor, state, local audits and/or desk reviews.Prepares and reviews audit documentation, respond to audit inquiries, and ensure timely submission of required reports.Collaborates with research administrators, principal investigators, and UT units (Accounting, Procurement, etc.) to resolve audit and compliance responses and issues.Communicates complex regulatory and audit concepts to a variety ofstakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENTEnsures compliance with Uniform Guidance, federal and state regulations, sponsor-specific guidelines, and institutional policies.Monitors effort reporting, subrecipient compliance and manage subrecipient monitoring activities in alignment with federal regulations.Analyzes audit findings, identify systemic issues, and recommend process improvements in collaboration with the Director of Post-Award.SUPERVISION OF CENTRAL SUPPORT TEAM IN GRANTS FINANCIAL MANAGEMENTSupervises two (2) staff members. One (1) is responsible for functions such as institutional audits and subrecipient monitoring and one (1) oversees effort reporting and training to the research community.Provides direction and oversight to the support team in these areas.
