Job Summary:
General Summary:
The Beverage Program Manager is responsible for managing the beverage concessionaires for the C3 portfolio of festivals with the goal of maximizing profitability from this revenue stream. This role will be responsible for ensuring concessionaires meet the event standards required, adhere to applicable permit and licensing requirements, fulfill their financial goals and integrating existing Sponsorship partners in coordination with the concessionaire. The Beverage Program Manager will use a data-driven approach to track buying trends, recommend new product offerings and technologies, and act as an internal consultant for festival producers in implementing best beverage sales practices.
Responsibilities:
Legal & Accounting
Oversee bidding process and handle negotiations with concessionaires
Manage process with legal department for creating and executing contracts
Map critical milestones for securing licenses and permits and troubleshoot issues as they arise
Prepare sales projections for inclusion in monthly budget forecasts
Review sales settlements for accuracy and ensure all funds are distributed as required. Assist accounting with managing concessionaire billbacks
Strategic Planning & Analysis
In consultation with concessionaires, determine all bar locations, sizes and menus
Monitor market trends and incorporate innovative beverage offerings at each festival
Collaborate with sponsorship department on targeting appropriate brands and ensuring contractual obligations are met
Create post-event reports to analyze sales and operational efficiencies, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement
Operations
Assist in the development and maintenance of beverage operations guidelines; responsible for ensuring concessionaire adheres to them
Facilitate advancing of all operational needs via C3’s advancement tools (MFA, TTC, etc.)
Participate in festival production meetings leading up to the event
Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum three years of experience in beverage concessions operations and management
Knowledge of ABC and other applicable government department rules and regulations regarding alcoholic beverage sales
In-depth knowledge of beverage trends
Expertise in determining most profitable products and pricing strategy
Must be highly organized, deadline-driven and able to multi-task
Sufficient in problem-solving and able to stay calm and resourceful in high-stress environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with personable and professional disposition
Proficiency in POS systems, preferably atVenu, Best Ring and Billfold
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Flexibility in work hours and availability, especially during major projects and events; some holidays, weekends, and early morning/evening hours will apply
Ability and desire to travel as needed
Desire to be creative and think outside the box to maximize revenue
