Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives.

Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries' Corporate Finance Team is looking or eager interns to join their team. Learn about finance with an intern position in various departments within the company (e.g., Corporate Accounting, SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Internal Audit, Internal Control, Payroll, etc.).

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Support Close, Forecast, and annual Planning cycles adhering to internal and external timelines

  • Detailed working knowledge of the Excel and PowerPoint applications within Microsoft Office

  • Maintain complex financial models used for profitability analysis and cash flow planning.

  • Monitor financial performance by analyzing and reporting on variances from plan.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to ensure the best corporate decisions are made to achieve operational and financial objectives.

  • Increase productivity by working with internal partners to develop repeatable business processes.

    Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field or a proficiency in accounting

  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

  • Travel - Up to 5%

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience

  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software: Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning & organizational skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
