Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Austin, Texas

Description We are on the lookout for a Customer Service Representative to join us in the Health Insurance sector in Austin, Texas. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, managing their accounts, processing their applications, and handling their inquiries. This role necessitates a high degree of organization and a meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior member service by promptly and courteously responding to inquiries from insured and prospective members, primarily concerning Dental & Vision Plans, Services, and Procedures.

• Listen attentively to member concerns or queries, demonstrating empathy and understanding, while also asking probing questions to ensure a thorough understanding of the situation.

• Take responsibility for researching and resolving complaints or issues, determining and implementing the most suitable solutions.

• Educate and influence members and potential members on the unique benefits and value offered by our services.

• Ensure member accounts are up-to-date and complete transactional requests during calls.

• Identify and seize opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, which may require transferring the call to a licensed representative.

• Achieve established business production goals and objectives.

• Stay updated on all changes to Member Service policy, procedures, marketing campaigns, Associations, and product/services/solutions information to provide accurate and consistent responses to member inquiries.

• Strive for first call resolution on all transactions handled. Requirements • Proven experience in a customer service role, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Prior experience in a call center environment, showcasing the ability to handle high volumes of customer inquiries in a detail oriented manner.

• Comprehensive understanding of insurance benefits, particularly in the context of health insurance.

• Detailed knowledge of health insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Demonstrated ability to understand and explain complex insurance terms and benefits to customers.

• Proven ability to handle and resolve customer complaints and issues related to health insurance.

• Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other related computer applications.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service at all times.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to continuously update knowledge on new health insurance policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in a relevant field may be advantageous. TalentMatch®
