Job/Position DescriptionPerforms advanced (senior-level) systems administration work. Work involves coordinating the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of systems. Installs and upgrades computer components and system software. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Essential Job Functionsand#149;Oversees the development, modification, and support of the agencyand#146;s custom Windows 10/11 operating systemsand#149;Responsible for documenting and communicating internal processes and procedures to agency IT staff, and vendor(s)and#149;Will serve as Tier III level technical support, oversees, monitors, and follows up on trouble tickets with other support staff and vendors and provides remote access troubleshootingand#149;Often interface with other technical teams, IT Field Operations team, App Development, IT Security team, DIR, other Health and Human Services agencies, and outsourced vendorsand#149;Coordinates and performs server, system or app patching and updates via Intune, SCCM using WSUS or similar systems. and#149;Provides on-call support in 24/7 environment, as assigned.and#149;Other duties assigned.The System Administrator position will be required to comply with all licensing agreements and for adherence to the standards of the Department of Information Resources (DIR.) The selected candidate will be expected to attend work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsCertification in area of expertise preferred.Knowledge Skills Abilitiesand#149;Knowledge of modern imaging standards and proceduresand#149;Knowledge of Windows server administrationand#149;Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suiteand#149;Knowledge of IT operations, responsibilities, workflow processes, and proceduresand#149;Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to program areas and information technologyand#149;Skill in developing technical documentationand#149;Skill in gathering information, resource organization, project/task prioritization and schedule developmentand#149;Ability to provide excellent customer serviceand#149;Ability to work independently and within groups and manage multiple activities and/or tasks simultaneously and accurately.and#149;Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to provide technical information to individuals with various levels of technical knowledge.and#149;Ability to analyze systems and procedures, to write and revise standards and procedures, and to supervise the work of others.Initial Screening Criteriaand#149; Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in computer science, computer information systems, or management information systems is generally preferred.
