IMSolutions, LLC Grants Management Specialist I - NOAA/Remote in Austin, Texas

IMSolutions is looking for Federal Grants Management Specialists to join us at our client the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This position is 100% remote.

NOAA is a scientific and regulatory agency within the United States Department of Commerce that forecasts weather, monitors oceanic and atmospheric conditions, charts the seas, conducts deep sea exploration and manages fishing and protection of marine mammals and endangered species in the U.S.

As a Grants Management Specialist, I (GMSI) , you will perform a wide range of contract/grant administration functions to assist the Government PCO/Grants Officer in acquisition planning, preparation of acquisition strategy plans and briefings, preparation of Justification and Approval (J&A), source selection plans and other contractual documentation. Maintain copies of contracts/grants, staff all requested changes, and determine if the change applies to other contracts/grants. You will also provide administrative, programmatic, and technical support specific to the NOAA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program.

These functions will include:

  • Perform competitive or non-competitive evaluation of grant proposals and/or the administration or termination, and/or closeout of grants, and/or grants assistance and agreement awards.

  • Assist in the coordination of the SBIR proposal evaluation process (pre and post-award).

  • Assist in the development of the annual SBIR federal funding opportunity grants announcements. Process all current contract invoices and deliverables.

  • Provide support in completing all required and mandated reports to Small Business Administration (SBA) or other entities and track and directly report program status updates to the program manager.

  • Assist with the strategic planning phase of upcoming projects and assist the program manager in the execution of the management plan for assigned projects.

  • Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents and enter information into and manage the digital project databases.

  • Coordinate and do various grants-related activities. Knowledge of the federal grants process is highly desired.

  • The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, familiar with Federal financial processes, able to work well with people both inside and outside of government, and comfortable with understanding and making sure others follow regulations and other requirements.

To qualify you will have:

  • 2+ years of Federal grants experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 24 credit hours in business or a business-related field.

  • Knowledge of Federal grants laws, regulations, and policies, and an understanding of business and industry grant practices.

  • Experience in grant financial analysis and providing technical assistance and recommendations to meet the intent of the grant.

  • U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three (3) or more years.

  • Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. This requires fingerprinting and reporting on your previous employment, residence, education, and financial and legal background. Candidates may be disqualified for federal or state convictions of crimes, military court-martials, delinquent federal debt including taxes and student loans, current use of illegal drugs, or lying on their application.

Base compensation range and benefits:

  • $45,000 to $55,000 - Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.
