Applied Materials Head of Enterprise Architecture in Austin, Texas

Summary

The Head of Enterprise Architecture is a senior leader in the IT department, responsible for defining, designing and delivering the enterprise architecture vision, strategy and roadmap for the organization. The Head of Enterprise Architecture collaborates with the CIO and other senior IT managers to align the enterprise architecture with the business goals and ensure the integration, interoperability and scalability of IT systems, applications, infrastructure, security and cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, standards, policies and principles, ensuring alignment with the IT strategy and governance

  • Lead the enterprise architecture team and oversee the architecture review and approval processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, policies and best practices

  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the IT project managers and teams, ensuring the alignment of IT solutions with the enterprise architecture and business requirements

  • Manage the enterprise architecture portfolio and roadmap, prioritizing and delivering architecture initiatives and projects that support the business objectives and IT transformation

  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, vendors, partners and customers, facilitating communication and collaboration across the organization

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of the enterprise architecture, identifying and resolving issues, risks and gaps, and recommending improvements and innovations

  • Stay abreast of the latest IT trends, innovations and best practices, and leverage them to enhance the enterprise architecture and IT capabilities

  • Coach, mentor and develop the enterprise architecture staff, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous learning

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field

  • Minimum 15 years of IT experience, with at least 10 years in enterprise architecture or related roles

  • Proven experience in defining, designing and delivering enterprise architecture solutions for large and complex organizations

  • Expert knowledge of IT systems, applications, infrastructure, security and cloud technologies, and their integration, interoperability and scalability

  • Excellent communication, leadership, strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and global environment

  • Certification in enterprise architecture (TOGAF preferred), IT governance or related fields is a must

U.S. Salary Range:

$196,000.00 - $269,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
