Hyatt Human Resources Manager in AUSTIN, Texas

Description:

The ideal candidate for the Human Resources Manager role will have experience in all areas of the Human Resources function. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to benefit administration, payroll, compensation, recruitment and retention, employee/labor relations, counseling, safety, and training/development. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources, who supports the hotel and the HR office in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate must have the ability to operate autonomously and manage a Human Resources office effectively, given the remote presence of the Director of Human Resources.

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin features 246 guestrooms, 3,000 sq ft. of dedicated meeting space, along with two exciting F&B concepts including an 8th floor rooftop bar. Qualifications:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills - bilingual in Spanish is a plus

  • Previous experience and demonstrated success with talent acquisition preferred

  • 2 or more years of human resource or management experience required

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance colleague engagement and satisfaction, fostering a positive work environment

  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillset

  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and other HR-related software

  • Experience in hospitality or a similar service-oriented industry is a plus

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
