ManpowerGroup Marketing Specialist - Intermediate (US) in Austin, Texas

Our client, is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join their team. As a Marketing Specialist, you will be part of the department and supporting the team.

Job Title: Marketing Specialist

Location: Austin, TX

Pay Range: $35 - $38/hr.

What’s the Job?

  • Collaborate with clients understand their event objectives and requirements

  • Support various work streams in the planning and execution of AMD-hosted corporate events from conception to completion

  • Develop event timelines, budgets, and project plans, ensuring all milestones are met within deadlines.

  • Utilizing Cvent software manage event registration, attendee communication and onsite check-in processes.

  • Develop and manage event timelines, schedules and task lists to ensure deadlines are met

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, venues and suppliers create impactful event experiences.

  • Vendor and Venue Selection and Management:

  • Liaise with agency partners research and identify venues that meet the needs and budgetary requirements of each event.

  • Source and manage relationships with vendors, including caterers, audiovisual technicians, and transportation providers.

  • Obtain quotes coordinate logistics with vendors to ensure smooth event operations.

  • Budget Management:

  • Manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses stay within approved limits.

  • Monitor financial transactions and reconcile invoices and payments with vendors and suppliers.

  • On-Site Event Management:

  • Support Global Events Team with onsite oversight during events for setup, registration, and overall execution.

  • Address any issues or concerns that arise during events, implementing solutions maintain a positive attendee experience.

  • Post-Event Evaluation:

  • Conduct post-event surveys assess the success of each event and identify areas for improvement.

  • Analyze attendee feedback, financial data, and performance metrics inform future event planning efforts, and report outcomes stakeholders.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, marketing, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in event management, with a focus on proprietary corporate events and conferences.

  • Proficiency in event management software, with a strong emphasis on Cvent.

  • Proven track record of successfully supporting events of all sizes within budget and timeline constraints.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability work collaboratively across global teams and interact professionally with AMD executives and staff, customers, vendors, and partners.

  • Capable of effectively coordinating events across multiple time zones while adhering diverse cultural business protocols

  • Proficiency in event management software such as Cvent and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management

  • The ability remain calm under pressure and troubleshoot solutions for challenges that may arise before or during an event.

  • Flexibility work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for events.
