Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for pulling required items from requisitions, order lists, or stock lists. You will use a checklist to ensure kit accuracy, accumulate orders, report shortages, and transport completed orders to distribution points or staging areas. Additionally, you will process returned items, compile and maintain inventory, prepare procurement requests, and lift heavy items. You may also operate a pallet jack or forklift, examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines, take inventory through cycle counting, and audit kits for accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Pull required items from requisition, order list, or stock list.

  • Use a checklist to ensure kit accuracy.

  • Accumulate orders and report shortages.

  • Transport completed orders to distribution points or staging areas.

  • Process returned items and unscheduled issues.

  • Compile and maintain inventory of received, stocked, and issued materials.

  • Prepare requests for procurement of materials.

  • Lift heavy items and operate a pallet jack or forklift.

  • Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.

  • Take inventory of stored items through cycle counting.

  • Audit kits for accuracy.

Essential Skills

  • Active Driver's License

  • Picking and packing skills

  • Receiving skills

  • Knowledge of Windows OS and computer skills

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Forklift operation experience

  • General labor and production skills

  • Experience with RF Gun, order picker, and cycle counts

  • Material handling and inventory control skills

  • Warehouse packing experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50
