The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Program Manager is an integral part of the Public Sector (PS) Partner Programs team and is in a key position to help grow our cloud computing business making an impact in an exciting, growing market. AWS is leading the shift in computing and is looking for world-class candidates to help shape and deliver our partner programs. In this global role, you will support AWS’s strategic investment in generative AI (GenAI)-focused partner programs that help Public Sector partners innovate, accelerate, and differentiate their AWS business. You will work cross-functionally with AWS partner and technical teams to proactively drive enablement, readiness, and adoption of these programs while developing and expanding Public Sector Partner GenAI capabilities globally.

The ideal candidate has experience with business development, program/project management and development, cross functional relationships, data analysis, reporting, communicating to a variety of audiences, and is a highly organized self-starter. You must have the ability and initiative to understand complex business needs and solve them with programs. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work closely with business, sales, marketing, technical and operations stakeholders to understand and address partner challenges.

  • Work directly with partners to implement, operate, and deliver against program goals.

  • Develop data-driven narrative proposals for new initiatives, evolving programs, and mechanisms to solve customer and partner needs.

  • Operationalize programs in desired geography including program recruitment, enablement, adoption, delivery of benefits, reporting, feature roadmap, and problem resolution.

  • Work with subject matter experts, partners, and other stakeholders to develop both internal and external facing content when needed that meets audience and program requirements in creative and engaging ways.

  • Work with cross functional groups including AWS Partner Network (APN), Training, Business Development and solutions architecture to build enablement programs that allow strategic partners to develop capabilities and achieve proficiency according to AWS Specialization program standards.

  • Lead and execute a communications strategy to Public Sector stakeholders.

  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of programs.

  • Own goals/performance reporting.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Business Development, Product Management, Program Management, or similar role in a corporate environment supporting partners or military experience.

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing technical needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.

  • Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.

  • Understanding of Generative AI (GenAI) including AWS GenAI services and solutions.

  • Global Public Sector experience

  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.

  • Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
