The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more.

As part of GPS, the Device Partner Sales (DPS) plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We build, market and sell intelligent edge and intelligent cloud devices and solutions with partners, including OEMs, device distribution channels, original design manufacturers, and Silicon providers. We work closely with our device ecosystem and internal business groups to build devices that consume our cloud, innovate with device partners, and transform how we sell devices and services with partners. Opportunities in DPS are expansive because we span the entire product lifecycle -- from incubation, prototyping, and portfolio planning to the design-in, sell-in, and sell-through motions that help our partners engage consumers, students, and businesses worldwide. As a Regional Marketing Manager – Americas , you will create demand and maximize revenue for Microsoft products through Device Partners, focusing on Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, Office/Microsoft 365, and other priority lines of business. In this role, you will lead the marketing partnership strategy and engagement with DPS Partners, driving high return on investment and transformational campaigns to support product and sales goals. This role activates Windows 11 and achieves revenue through modern marketing tactics in collaboration with partners, contributing to digital transformation and delivering a modern workplace experience for customers. In this role, marketing leadership is needed to drive holistic One Microsoft plans, promote products, explore new growth opportunities, and represent the voices of partners, customers, and colleagues. Joining this team is an opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the multi-billion-dollar Modern Workplace business. The role is in Austin, TX and is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

Planning

  • Land marketing investments To & Thru Partner(s) as per fiscal Business Priorities

  • Articulate business goals for marketing activities

  • Coach and support partner(s) to successfully plan & execute full funnel marketing

  • Measure Business Outcomes of marketing activities

Marketing Excellence

  • Understand the full funnel campaigns of partners & interject the ideal marketing mix for Microsoft benefit.

  • Prioritize measurement of business impact on marketing activities (key performance indicators) + investments (return on investment [ROI])

  • Build & share best practices/learnings

  • Ensure guidelines of privacy, brand, funding, statements of work/contracts, proofs of execution are followed

  • Be the subject matter expert for funnel creation & conversion activities (like Events, etc.)

Partner Engagement

  • Coach partner on audience, insights, full funnel ROI focus, how to measure business impact & track learnings

  • Own executive engagement on marketing

  • Plan marketing activities rolling up to Shared Success Plan (SSP)

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 7+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 8+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years sales, marketing, technology-based, or business development experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Communication and collaboration skills essential to drive cross-functional success

  • Understanding of the channel and through partner marketing, to ensure our partners can be successful with our product and solutions

  • Proven ability of planning, executing and tracking Full Funnel marketing campaigns

  • Specialize in lower funnel marketing tactics to create and monitor sales pipeline

  • Understanding of Return On Marketing Investments (ROMI)

  • Strategic acumen and business experience to drive connected business planning and holistic go to market approaches with our partner ecosystem

  • Background in PC hardware and/or the commercial hardware channel

Partner Marketing IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
