Job Summary and Qualifications

As the Quality Coordinator, you will coordinate quality and regulatory initiatives as defined by HCA and St. David’s HealthCare Partnership. These initiatives and programs may be disease specific and may include Core Measures, physician peer review, national data registries, OPPE/FPPE, and special projects. You will learn and perform additional duties within the Quality Management department that assist with critical needs, staff shortages, and/or holiday coverage. You will participate in providing patient specific care standards as directed and follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.

  • You will ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and evidence-based standards

  • You will evaluate hospital performance in comparison to standards/requirements (i.e. Core Measures, Stroke, STS, and CathPCI)

  • You will perform daily concurrent review and retrospective reviews as needed to ensure compliance with evidence-based measures

  • You will collaborate with and education physicians and multidisciplinary hospital staff to achieve compliance

  • You will utilize quality improvement methodologies to facilitate improvement initiatives

  • You will organize and conduct interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a resource to physicians, nurses, educators, and leaders on evidence-based measures You will coordinate with nursing staff and hospital leaders to establish and implement standardized, evidence-based processes/protocols

What qualifications you will need:

  • Minimum of three years relevant clinical experience (Med/Surg, Neuro, ICU and ED experience)

  • Graduate of accredited nursing school with Nursing Diploma, Associates Degree or higher level education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing - preferred

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
