About The Position:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Resource Manager to join our team, specializing incapacity planning, forecasting, maximizing utilization, and backlog prioritization and burn down. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing resource allocation, managing the backlog of development tasks, and ensuring timely project delivery. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and productivity of our development teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

Backlog Management:

• Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to estimate effort for backlog items.

• Prioritize the backlog of tasks, stories, and epics in collaboration with Executive leadership,Project Managers, and Engineering Managers.

• Ensure the backlog is refined, well-organized, and aligns with program goals and timelines.

• Facilitate regular backlog grooming sessions to review and update task priorities.

Resource Allocation:

• Assess resource availability and assign tasks based on team capacity and skill sets.

• Monitor and adjust resource allocation to balance workload and optimize productivity to achieve team utilization targets.

• Collaborate with project managers to forecast resource needs and address potential bottlenecks.

Burn Down Management:

• Track and report on burn down metrics to monitor progress against project timelines.

• Identify and address impediments affecting the team’s ability to meet sprint goals.

• Ensure transparency of burn down charts and other project tracking tools for all stakeholders.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for resource management, backlog prioritization, and burn down progress.

• Provide regular updates to executive stakeholders on resource allocation, backlog status, and project progress.

• Facilitate effective communication between development teams and other departments.

Continuous Improvement

• Implement best practices for resource management and backlog prioritization.

• Conduct retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable solutions.

• Stay updated with industry trends and methodologies to enhance the efficiency of project delivery.

What We Are Looking For:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in resource management, project management, or a similar role in an Agile environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

The Tech:

• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana).

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

• Experience with backlog management and burn down tracking.
