Applied Materials SAP Solutions Architect in Austin, Texas

Job Summary

Applied Materials is looking for a highly motivated SAP Solution Architect who is passionate about the SAP ecosystem. They will help define solution strategy, drive design and technical implementation, and architect innovative solutions. They will work on diverse projects from gathering customer requirements to implementing the solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment.

This position requires excellent stakeholder management and technical skills, expertise with architecture, design, and implementation of information security software, identity and access management system and documentation experience.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP S/4 HANA, BTP and integrations with other systems, along with a strong technical background in enterprise architecture. They understand business processes, challenges, and needs; recommends best systems integration solutions and methodologies. They collaborate with Business partners, domain architects, functional, technical and integration teams to define a solution and works towards implementing it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture design workshops and build/integrate/deploy state-of-the-art architecture for SAP applications on SAP BTP Cloud.

  • Establish processes/tools and provide technical guidance to influence and improve best practices related to the SAP BTP.

  • Responsible for the management, configuration, and optimization of SAP BTP services to support the organization's business needs.

  • Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of SAP BTP environments, as well as facilitating seamless integration with other systems and applications.

  • Spearhead the design, build, deploy for development in SAP BTP for SAP S/4 HANA transformation.

  • Develop architectural plans for systems integration to implement SAP S/4 HANA in a complex landscape of third-party systems, legacy systems, and cloud-based solutions.

  • Work closely with various teams, including business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical experts to understand current IT landscape, business requirements and needs. Advise and guide other teams involved in the implementation.

  • Ensure the overall architecture of the S/4 HANA system is optimized for performance.

  • Manage integration for multiple projects and work streams including planning and delivery of solutions to meet functional business requirements.

  • Oversee contingent workers performing services across multiple projects or service areas.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of cumulative hands-on work experience in SAP, S/4, BTP and RISE

  • Extensive experience in SAP technical architecture, with a focus on SAP BTP solutions.

  • Hands-on experience in SAP technologies, including SAP BTP, SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, and WorkZone.

  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect or similar role, preferably in the context of business transformation programs.

  • Experienced in driving BTP related topics (developments, guidelines, etc.) in a DevOps and/or agile environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, service, and solution-oriented attitude as well as high analytical capabilities

  • Attention to detail and quality with the ability to rapidly learn and apply new business concepts, models, and techniques.

U.S. Salary Range:

$120,000.00 - $165,000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
