Executes the four processes of Mission Assurance. Identifies defense critical infrastructure (DCI) and supporting infrastructure leading to dependency mapping of mission relevant terrain-cyber (MRT-C) supporting operational plans directed by DoD. Schedules and oversees DoD and HQDA Mission Assurance Assessments, site visits, and guides Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) on the development of all-hazard threat assessment (AHTA). Performs risk management activities protecting designated critical assets through coordination and collaboration with Major Subordinate Commands, Military Services, Combat Support Agencies. Integrates risk management activities into the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution process to resource corrective actions to create redundancy or resiliency for the commands strategic mission. Performs monitoring and reporting activities utilizing the MA Systems of Record and ACOM level protection forums to advance the organizations MA activities and Integrated Protection Plan. Provides training and guidance to MSCs to improve organizational understanding to advance MA activities and program execution. Performs additional duties as the alternate Continuity of Operations (COOP) Program Manager and alternate Protection Governance Coordinator executing duties to advance several protection programs for the ACOM. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) analyzing Mission Assurance physical security related program requirements; 2) implementing procedures, policies, and practices related to governing the Mission Assurance program access control, guard, intrusion, and surveillance detection programs; 3) assisting in the establishment of new methods, techniques and solutions to satisfy Mission Assurance security program requirements; AND 4) conducting physical security Mission Assurance program related reviews, and on-site surveys and assessments This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-2/GS-11) Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
