Charles Schwab Senior Field Marketing Manager in Austin, Texas

As an integral part of the Schwab Advisor Services Marketing Team, the Field Marketing group develops and manages programs for the Schwab Advisor Services (AS) Sales and Service teams– including Business Development, Relationship Management, and Service - to increase their effectiveness in establishing and deepening client relationships, including conversion and share of wallet opportunities. Field Marketing provides Sales with tools, content and hands-on support to consistently deliver the right messages to our clients in support of Schwab Advisor Services’ strategic initiatives.

The Senior Field Marketing Manager will work with a specified client segment and focus on marketing strategies to support Relationship Management business goals as well as tactical support for content development and campaign management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the process to develop marketing plans and programs to support client sales goals, including campaign strategies, direct mail campaigns, social media engagement, and events.

  • Serve as a marketing consultant, resource and expert to the AS Relationship Management Sales teams and ensure integration with AS Marketing, e.g. provide feedback and ideas from Sales for future campaigns as well as enhancements to existing programs and platforms.

  • Serve as a team SME for assigned marketing campaigns, AS strategic initiatives, and Institutional Services marketing projects. Network and coordinate with multiple internal business partners within areas of responsibility, including AS

  • Sales Support, Marketing Communications, Business Consulting, Technology and Compliance.

  • Work with internal/external agencies and vendors as needed to execute marketing campaigns/strategies.

  • Drive adoption of all marketing effectiveness tools and channels, e.g. marketing automation platform, CRM, social media, newsletters, and events.

  • Drive field marketing team effectiveness by sharing best practices from within assigned sales specialization.

This is a hybrid position, working out of one of our service center locations

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 10+ years serving in a marketing function in the financial services industry (specifically working in the investments space); understanding of the Registered Investment Advisor business preferred.

  • Solid knowledge of marketing practices and strategies (client acquisition and retention) with an emphasis on marketing strategy, marketing communications, content development, and field marketing experience.

  • Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms, ie Marketo.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including marketing/creative, copywriting, editing, proofing.

  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with business partners and internal and external parties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Passionate and responsive in supporting client-oriented goals, ability to think in terms of client experience.

  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and priorities with short timelines; well versed at connecting strategic objectives to tactical implementation.

  • Ability to define tactical plans necessary to achieve stated business goals.

  • Self-motivated and able to grasp assignments and manage from inception through to

  • completion. Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment and juggling multiple priorities.

  • Creative problem-solving skills, sound judgment and decision-making based on business objectives; bias for results.

  • Extensive coordination with others is key to this position, so organization and time management are critical

  • Series 7 license preferred.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
