Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Amazon Logistics Strategic Planning and Process Engineering team innovate at scale. This individual will be the owner of a process/product roadmap and ensuring delivery to the vision of the next generation of AMZL delivery station including Multiple Modes of Transportation (MMOT). This is a unique opportunity at a critical juncture in Amazons growth to drive end to end product delivery from inception to execution. We are looking for a hands-on leaders with experience managing new product and process development for high dollar value programs.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to influence and work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies. You will work with organizations such as Worldwide (WW) Engineering and Design, WW Tech SME, Last Mile Delivery and Tech as well as Operations to innovate at scale and drive the development roadmap. You will manage large, complex initiatives, deal with ambiguity and advocate on behalf of the customer to develop the next generation of AMZL delivery station.

Responsibilities include:

  • Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Station including Multiple Modes of Transportation (MMOT).

  • Work closely with a partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products

  • Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.

  • Lead execution of the product with high-level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.

  • Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap. Own a part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution. Meet defined milestones and delivery dates.

  • Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Strategic Planning and Process Engineering Org.

  • 20% travel based on business needs

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 8+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Process Engineer, Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer, or related occupation

  • Experience managing the lifecycle of cross-functional projects, implementing automated equipment and/or integrated systems

  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related STEM field

  • Operations Management/Distribution Center experience with direct management or responsibility for material handling, automation, or other technical projects

  • Experience with Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet programs

  • Experience with design and/or implementation automation solutions, such as Conveyors, Sorters, high speed manufacturing and packaging lines, Robotic work cells

  • Proven technical leadership for industrial engineering projects or program

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
