Charles Schwab Senior Project Manager- Technology (Corporate Real Estate) in Austin, Texas

Your opportunity

Corporate Real Estate Manages the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Creates and executes real estate strategic plans to enable business growth and flexibility. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs. Designs and develops organizational policies relevant to the facilities department. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.

The Senior Technology Project Manager partners with Technology and Real Estate teams to manage various Charles Schwab service center and branch relocations, renovations, expansions, etc. Major responsibilities of the Project Manager include: identification and clarification of roles and responsibilities for all project delivery tasks; communication of project status effectively to stakeholders throughout all project phases; management, reporting and mitigation of risks throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager actively drives relationship management throughout the life of the project with the project team members & stakeholders. Senior Project Managers manage projects or programs (portfolio of related projects) of complex scope and schedule (large budgets, large groups of people, unknown or new technologies). Project assignments may include non-move related work, e.g., security, infrastructure, or software initiatives across a large, distributed environment. The Project Manager develops and documents project plans, budgets and schedules and manages scope and risk throughout the life of the project.

What you have

Required minimum qualifications include:

  • Must have strong IT infrastructure project management experience with demonstrated ability to drive projects to successful completion.

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation, problem-solving, influencing, decision making, and conflict resolution skills with ability to meet stakeholders needs and manage their expectations through effective communication. Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, Word, Office365, and Bluebeam with background in AutoCAD as a plus.

In addition, ideal candidates will also have the following desired qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with background experience in construction management or project management industries.

  • Four or more years in project management experience handling large, sophisticated, and cross-functional projects with emphasis on IT infrastructure systems and technologies.

  • Conversant with relevant industry standards including TIA and BICSI structured cabling standards, and a working familiarity with how these standards are implemented.
