Job Summary

The Services Consultant - Microsoft & Software Advisory Group role aims to drive adjacent SHI services opportunities resulting from MSAG consulting engagements.The MSAG Services Consultant will liaise with SHI sales business units and services teams to ensure proper handoff, follow-up, and execution of all identified service opportunities.The MSAG Services Consultant will report to the Managing Director of Microsoft & Software Advisory Group.

Responsibilities

Include but not limited to:

  • Collaborate with MSAG Consultants, Account Executives, product and licensing experts and adjacent solution teams on customer-facing calls and presentations

  • Conduct professional services discovery calls to gather customer-specific requirements

  • Understand and be able to provide general overviews of all relevant adjacent services opportunities in order to generate interest in subject-matter expert follow-up meetings

  • Create supporting documentation, collateral, and tools to help identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities

  • Maintain/achieve certifications relevant to the company’s solution projects

  • Stay current with Information Technology trends, new features, releases, and programs

  • Track services opportunities and provide both summary and detailed reporting to team leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5 years experience in customer-facing IT product or services sales

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products with excellent Excel knowledge

  • Must have solution-selling experience with a proven track record

  • Must be results-driven with a strong sense of urgency

  • Self-study and independent work to increase job-related knowledge and skills

Unique Requirements

  • 10 % of travel required for team and customer meetings

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $175,000 - $210,000 salary which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
