Amazon Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Sports in Austin, Texas

Description

We are the Prime Video Sports team. As part of this team, you will be building software to engage and interact with customers both within and beyond the Prime Video apps. We’re looking for engineers to help revolutionize the way our customers discover, engage, and enjoy live events, from sports to music, breaking news, and political debates.

In September 2018, we launched our first full-scale live streaming experience for our worldwide Prime customers with the NFL’s Thursday Night Football. That was just the beginning. We are expanding not only the breadth of live content we offer but also the depth of the customer experience. This is a transformative opportunity, a chance to be at the forefront of a program that will redefine Prime Video and the live streaming experience for customers everywhere.

We’re building a wide variety of services in Austin, TX, that are low-latency, high-TPS, highly scalable, and resilient while keeping operational load minimal. Our mission is to make Prime Video a daily destination for sports fans. Please ping me if you want to solve business challenges through innovative technology, enjoy working on cutting-edge, scalable services technology in a team environment, and like working on industry-defining projects that move the needle!

At Amazon, we hire the best minds in technology to innovate and build on behalf of our customers. The focus we have on our customers is why we are one of the world’s most beloved brands – customer obsession is part of our company DNA. Our Software Development Engineers (SDEs) use cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems and get to see the impact of their work first-hand.

The challenges SDEs solve for at Amazon are big and influence millions of customers, sellers, and products around the world. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about creating new products, features, and services from scratch while managing ambiguity and the pace of a company where development cycles are measured in weeks, not years.
