Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Solutions Architect drives revenue growth by identifying new opportunities and ensuring the success of existing customer investments. This role leads solution sales, fosters adoption and expansion of software solutions, and quantifies business impact to deliver measurable value. Serving as a thought leader and technical mentor, the Solutions Architect collaborates with sales, product, and services teams to achieve portfolio growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Impact

  • Lead solution sales to build pipeline and achieve revenue growth.

  • Provide technical and business expertise to develop tailored solutions aligned with customer needs.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, communicating strategy and demonstrating industry-specific insights.

  • Assist sales teams in executive relationship management across IT, business units, and C-level stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities for portfolio expansion and professional services to maximize value.

Customer Engagement

  • Collaborate with executive management to navigate industry challenges and transformation strategies.

  • Articulate Broadcom’s technology vision, value, and alignment with customer business drivers.

  • Guide customers through solution adoption, setting expectations, and ensuring successful outcomes.

  • Conduct proofs-of-concept, demonstrations, and solution presentations aligned with best practices.

  • Maintain awareness of customer projects, infrastructure, and challenges to proactively deliver value.

Technical Leadership

  • Drive adoption of existing and new solutions to maximize customer success.

  • Provide expert technical counsel to internal and customer teams, resolving complex business and technical issues.

  • Mentor account teams and peers, sharing knowledge and best practices.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and forecasting of opportunities.

Opportunity Management

  • Build sustainable relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.

  • Showcase solution benefits, differentiation, and value to address customer challenges.

  • Document and maintain account plans, ensuring alignment with customer goals.

  • Support sales planning, opportunity assessment, and accurate forecasting.

Typical Role Definition:

  • Recognized as a technical and business expert, applying deep knowledge to complex projects and challenges.

  • Independently evaluates, plans, and leads initiatives with minimal oversight.

  • Acts as a mentor and technical resource within the organization.

Authority and Scope:

  • Independently prioritizes activities, engages resources, and makes decisions daily.

  • Provides counsel to account teams and guidance on opportunity planning.

  • Global focus; no direct reports or budget responsibility.

Travel and Physical Demands:

  • Business travel up to 40% annually.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years of IT experience in architecture, development, operations, or security.

  • Proven expertise in solution integration, business acumen, and customer problem-solving.

  • Consulting experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional technical leadership and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proven ability to manage escalations and resolve complex issues.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and consultative skills.

  • Ability to articulate technical solutions in business terms and align capabilities with customer priorities.

  • Expertise in cross-functional solution integration and IT industry trends.

  • Outstanding coaching, mentoring, and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency with solution demonstrations, presentations, and whiteboarding.

Professional Development:

  • Commitment to ongoing learning of industry, market, and competitive trends.

  • Attain and maintain relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, Hyperscaler, etc.).

  • Mastery of Broadcom sales tools, processes, and resources.

Additional Job Description:

Compensation and Benefits

The On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $125,000 - $200,000

OTE includes Sales Incentive Commission in accordance with relevant plan documents. This position is also eligible for equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
