Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Austin, Texas

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the technology and manufacturing industry, based in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting thorough financial analysis, creating financial models, and providing insights to support business decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis on a monthly basis and prepare presentations for management

• Identify and investigate any variances from historical performance and forecasts, drawing attention to key business drivers

• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure financial reporting is accurate and comprehensive

• Develop and utilize financial models to support Profit and Loss (P& L) planning and analysis

• Provide financial insights that assist in evaluating risks and identifying opportunities to meet financial commitments

• Identify potential issues independently and propose solutions

• Apply deep understanding of P& L analysis to daily tasks

• Utilize MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, for various tasks

• Work with Oracle or similar ERP systems to manage financial data

• Utilize advanced business intelligence tools for data analysis

• Have knowledge of HFM or similar financial reporting systems and familiarity with IFRS/GAAP

• Apply your skills in Business systems, Confluence, CRM, Crystal Reports, Data Mining Techniques, About Time, Accounting Functions, Auditing, Budget Processes, Capital Management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the security industry

• Advanced understanding of Business systems

• Proficiency in Data Mining Techniques

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software or similar project management tools

• Strong understanding and execution of Accounting Functions

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Experience in Capital Management

• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports

• High level of proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented

• Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• Relevant certifications (CPA, CFA, etc.) would be a plus

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity

• Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
