STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Location: Austin, TX

Division: Ticketmaster NA – Festivals & GA (Front Gate Tickets)

Line Manager: Accounting Manager

Contract Terms: Permanent, Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Front Gate Tickets is owned by Live Nation Entertainment and acts as Ticketmaster's festival arm. We are headquartered in Austin, TX but have a mix of local and remote employees on the team & throughout the organization.

THE JOB:

As a Staff Accountant, this role will support the daily accounting and financial reporting activities for Front Gate Tickets.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Assists in analyzing and reconciling Balance Sheet accounts.

  • Assists with month end close tasks and preparation of financial statements.

  • Prepares and records ticket sales deposits received from credit card merchants (US and CA).

  • Reconciles credit card deposits to ticketing system and resolves any discrepancies (US and CA).

  • Posts weekly client advances (US and CA).

  • Manages Accounts Receivable, including creating invoices, applying payments & collecting on past due balances.

  • Manages Vendor AP Accrual and purchase card reconciliation, including use tax considerations.

  • Performs administrative tasks within project management tool and client database.

  • Completes special ad hoc projects on an as needed basis.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (TECHNICAL SKILLS):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting field is required.

  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Oracle is a plus!

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Positive attitude and a team player.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, especially during month end close.
