Position Overview: The Additional Days School Year (ADSY) Summer Learning Project Manager will oversee and support the planning and execution of high-quality summer programming in school districts and charters throughout Texas. The Project Manager will drive accelerated learning strategies in summer by guiding districts through the implementation of ADSY. As the key liaison between ADSY Planning and Execution Program (ADSY PEP), Voluntary Summer Learning Cohort participants and TEA, the Project Manager will facilitate the creation of high-quality resources and supports for districts. The role will involve strategic planning to expand high quality summer learning through the alignment and use of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and the dissemination of planning and execution resources across the state. The candidate is likely to have experience serving in a school or district, where they implemented a large-scale program and successfully supported others through significant change management efforts to improve student outcomes. Continuation of the position beyond that date is contingent upon available funding. Essential FunctionsJob duties are not limited to the essential functions mentioned below. You may perform other functions as assigned. 1. Program Management and Sustainability: Manage ongoing programmatic transition for ADSY PEP technical assistance to ESCs to ensure successful implementation of evidence-based summer learning.2. Summer Academic Strategy: Develop recommendations on summer high quality instructional materials (HQIM) and supplemental products based on research based instructional strategies.3. Summer Enrichment Strategy: Develop recommendations and implementation strategy on summer enrichment curation aligned to igh quality instructional materials (HQIM) and supplemental products.4. Program Scale and Alignment: Drive ongoing implementation of evidence-based summer programming across the state, particularly through Additional Days School Year, and target overlapping opportunities with cross-agency initiatives (e.g., 21st Century Community Learning Centers, High Impact Tutoring). 5. External Partnership Management: Manage relationships with external organizations interested in supporting Texas implementation of summer learning, including researchers, philanthropic organizations (The Wallace Foundation), and other collaborating organizations to ensure aligned strategies and efficient cooperation across teams. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in program management. Substitutions: An advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.
