CADRE Construction Superintendent-Construction in Austin, Texas

CADRE Construction, a fast-growing Commercial Real Estate Developer and General Contractor, is seeking a solution driven Superintendent to work on various construction projects. The Superintendent position is responsible for all field operations, coordinating with subcontractors and project managers and conducting quality and safety inspections. Responsibilities:

  • Managing the construction and activities associated with the field operations of the project.

``` - Participate in construction scheduling, project planning, and buyout during the preconstruction phase as well as making scopes and schedules for subcontractors. - Consistently communicate with subcontractors and employees regarding scheduling, safety, quality, performance standards and construction methods. - Inform the project manager on a regular basis regarding the progress, plans, and problems that could affect costs or schedules. - Communicate any problems in plan review prior to construction and facilitate necessary changes to alleviate any burden to the schedule. - Thorough understanding of all project specifications and the contract. Ensure that works meets quality specifications and complies with contract documents.

``` - Facilitate weekly project meetings with subcontractors and keep owners/architects informed through the duration of the project. - Carry out any additional responsibilities required by the project manager.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Superintendent experience.

``` - Team oriented with strong communication (verbal/written) and organizational skills. - Proficient using a computer, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and other communication tools such as the internet or Dropbox. Microsoft Project experience is a plus. - Experience in design-build and plan review with knowledge of code compliance in the surrounding Austin area. - Ability to evaluate projects and make necessary changes to ensure quality and improve completion schedules.
