UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Superintendent - UT High School Special Purpose District in Austin, Texas

Develop and implement systems, support, and training to strengthen UT High School programs and services to generate revenue while also developing new programs and services to support full-time students, independent learners, and domestic and international partner schools.Ensure alignment with UT Austin and TEA standards and expectations for all UT Online High School activities. Assist academic advisors and educational services staff in resolving disputes with parents, teachers, or students as necessary. Facilitate ongoing communications with and a sense of community among students, parents, and teachers.Ensure that UT High School students are provided relevant and timely information and support for college and career readiness.Ensure the provision of high-quality high school learning experiences and content, in line with the strategic priorities of university leadership to increase the number of well-prepared high school graduates in the state of Texas and beyond. Serve as primary point of contact with strategic partners including school districts and other educational organizations. Promote innovation and best practices in the use of online technologies to promote and increase student success.Observe professional ethical standards in accordance with generally accepted community standards and the Texas Educators Code of Ethics. Comply with district (UT) policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations.Provide leadership in planning, budgeting, staffing, marketing, curriculum development, registration and enrollment systems, and operations for special programs and services, including Texas Diploma Program, International High School Diploma Program, P-Tech ECHS Program, ERHSGO, Empower Academy, Credit by Exams, Educator Professional Development and Online Courses for districts.Provide strong oversight of program activities to ensure alignment with appropriate learning outcomes, benchmarks, and goals, in line with the thematic priorities of university leadership. Use data to measure students' learning progress and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of UT High School operations to effectively support and increase student success. Ensure that students' state graduation requirements are met, including demonstration of proficiency on relevant state assessments.Recruit, train, and supervise UT High School academic and support staff. Oversee continuous improvement, professional development, and training of administrative and instructional staff. Process instructional staff into the various educational platforms, databases, and serve as the liaison with third party educational vendors. Assist academic advisors with the evaluation of transcripts and course and graduation requirements.Other related functions as assigned.
