Amazon Supply Chain Manager II, S&OP in Austin, Texas

Description

The S&OP Analytics team is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects and programs within Amazon's Supply Chain. This roles requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, resolving conflicts, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes.

The primary role of Supply Chain Manager is to address business challenges through building a compelling case, influencing across the organization, and delivering with tenacity. Supply Chain Managers are given responsibility on their first day to own those business challenges and the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions.

As a member of our team, you will exhibit a deep understanding of product flow and the inter-connections between physical and virtual product movements. You will look at a challenge, define what is broken and develop the solution on behalf of our customers.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, possess a strong attention to detail, and able to collaborate with internal customers to understand and transform business problems into requirements and deliverables.

Key job responsibilities

  • Perform system and process analysis to root cause issues within existing systems and recommend improvements.

  • Write business documents to communicate ideas / issues and align stakeholders on path forward.

  • Partner with key functional stakeholders across the company to lead, support, and influence new initiatives.

  • Deliver end-to-end technology and operations projects, working through obstacles along the way.

  • Define scope and business requirements for automation and analytical projects.

  • Build strong partnerships across the organization and leverage data deep dives to inform future design.

-Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions.

About the team

The S&OP Analytics team focuses on strategic initiatives that improve the end-to-end customer fulfillment process. We support our planning and execution teams by delivering automated planning tools, approachable and actionable analytics, as well as process improvements to enhance decision-making.

Austin, TX, USA | Bellevue, WA, USA | Tempe, AZ, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.

  • Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • Basic knowledge of SQL and experience extracting own data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing accounting/finance process improvement and/or technology projects with aggressive schedules

  • Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.

  • Master's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $77,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $141,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
